Kansas City United will offer a weekly Goalkeeper Academy for boys and girls. The Academy will introduce premier level soccer by teaching fundamentals of the goalkeeping, including how to properly: position, catch, block, and distribute. Emphasis will be on proper and safe technique. During this time the player will continue to play on his or her own team. Academy coaches will make every effort to see at least one of these games to assess the progress individual players are making. Parents will also be sent weekly emails detailing the materials covered in each session and suggesting fun training activities parents and children can do together.
