The U14 girls played in the U15 age group and faced stiff competition including last years U14 Kansas State Cup Champions, and the new Prodigy U15 United team, which has consolidated the top players from Topeka.  Despite playing a year up, the Rangers won their bracket, posting a 3-0 record and allowed no goals.  In the Finals, they faced the KCFC Magic team they last met in the Kansas State Cup Championships last June.  In a hard fought contest, the Rangers came out on top 2-1 to win the Tournament Championship.

In the U18 girls’ bracket the Metros continued their domination on local competition going 3-0 in the preliminary rounds and then meeting last year’s Kansas State Cup semi-finalists, Kansas Rush, in the Final.  The Metros won the Championship game 2-0 to go undefeated in the tournament.  Over the four games, the Metros scored 15 goals and allowed only 2.

In mid August, the U14 Kansas City United girls went to Edmonds, Oklahoma to play in the Beat the Heat Tournament.  This year the name was all too true with every game played in temperatures over 100 degrees.  In the preliminary rounds, the Rangers won all three of their pool games by a combined score of 14-2.  In the Final they met the home town hosts, OFC and came up short 2-1 to take home Second Place.
