newspic10Three Kansas City United teams competed in the Border Battle in early March taking home a Championship, a Second Place, and losing on a tie breaker to make the finals.

The U9 Kansas City United Energy girls, coached by Joe Waldon, went 2-1, losing on a tie breaker to the St. Louis Scott Gallagher top team.

U14 Kansas City United Rangers boys, coached by Doug Miller, posted a perfect 3-0 record in the preliminary rounds, scoring 12 goals and conceding zero.  In the final they met the Blitz United squad from Tulsa, ranked the number eight team in the country.  The Rangers fell 1-0 in a very close contest.

The U12 Kansas City United Attack (pictured here), coached by Jimmy Perez, also had a perfect sheet in the preliminary rounds, going 3-0, scoring 17 goals while conceding zero.  They won the Championship game, scoring six goals in the process.  They also had an indoor game the day of the Final at 7 a.m. – they also won that indoor game with a shutout.
